Steamworks is a beloved Vancouver-based brand known for its inviting social spaces and delicious craft beers. The newest addition to the Steamworks family, the Steamworks Mount Pleasant restaurant, has recently opened its doors in the heart of Mount Pleasant, Vancouver. The design and construction of this space makes it both an exciting addition to the Steamworks family of restaurants in addition to a a must-visit dining destination in the city.
Design Concept & Construction:
Team Pacific worked with the Steamworks ownership group for years prior to construction actually breaking ground in Mount Pleasant. By getting involved early, we were able to work directly with the base building management company to ensure that the commercial unites and construction plans would all be perfectly in sync.
The design of Steamworks Mount Pleasant was inspired by the brand’s Vancouver based roots and tribute to nature, and was brought to life by the team at Evoke International Design. With 100 seats inside and an expansive patio to hold another 100 more, layout and functionality were of key importance for smooth operations. The airy interiors feature a mix of natural materials combined with colourful and unexpected elements to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The layout maximizes the natural light that flows in through all sides, including the entire south wall which opens out to the expansive patio. The north wall showcases a stunning mural by Jessa Gilbert of the mountain-scape outside, connecting you to the outdoors even when cozy inside. One of our favourite parts of the build are the custom powder-coated beer lines. Check out that colour!
Dining Experience:
The Steamworks Mount Pleasant restaurant offers a unique and immersive dining experience, with a menu that features locally-sourced ingredients and innovative cuisine. The spacious and well-appointed dining room features a mix of seating options, including cozy booths, communal tables, and a large bar area, making it the perfect venue for both intimate dinners and large group events. And let’s not forget the most epic patio with all-day sunshine!
