In contrast to the cubicle lined, fluorescent lit offices of the past, Suite Genius was looking to open up a bright and energetic co-op community workspace. We were happy to help.
We started with a blank canvas and worked with the owner, designer and internal teams to design and build everything to custom-fit the space. We completely transformed an old radio office using a variety of materials to create an open workspace.
The Transformation
Using a mix of new, repurposed, custom, and off-the-shelf fixtures and materials allowed us to create the overall feel. Instead of getting new custom glass doors that would have run up the budget, we took all the old solid doors, cut out the middles and installed glass. Pacific Design Lab also created 20 office tables with custom steel bases and two large cedar picnic tables.

Of course every project has it’s challenges. Doing a third floor, 6,000 square foot renovation with a very small elevator certainly comes to mind. But working with this start-up to create their remarkable space was well worth all the hard work, and stairs.
