What’s the freshest thing on the Vancouver salad scene? The brand new Zaatar w Zeit, housed in the heart of Vancouver’s downtown core at Granville and Dunsmuir Streets.
Our friends at Mercury Contracting were the General Contractors for the build-out. They enlisted the help of the Pacific Solutions Contracting millwork shop to fabricate, install, and manage the millwork component for the newest Zaatar w Zeit location. This restaurant was the 77th location for the popular Lebanese eatery and their first ever in North America.
The expansive millwork package included all of the tables, banquettes, service counter, tray rail, server stations, bathroom vanities and accessories, and wall panelling. Anything that was wood pretty much came through our workshop. At the end of the project we had used over 700 board feet of solid white oak to outfit the entire space. We loved the attention to detail and design that came with the Zaatar w Zeit drawings. One of our favourite components to build was the 25 foot wide by 70 foot long custom metal and wood panel drop ceiling. The highlight though was definitely the 15 foot high by 30 foot long “Grab & Go” feature wall. We used over 4,250 linear feet of 3/4″ oak half round for this wall, applying each small piece by hand.
Team Pacific is proud to have been a part of the Zaatar w Zeit group’s expansion story to their new market. Yes, of course, we love the space, and you better believe that that food is mouthwateringly fresh and delicious. What we love most though, is that their story is one that brings passion, heart, and personality to every market they are in.
