We started working with the Moe’s Home Collection team in 2019, helping them prepare and plan for their upcoming office renovation project. We were just about to begin work in 2020 when COVID hit, and as with most things at the time, the project was put on pause.
Fast forward a few months, and although the office needs may have changed a bit, Team Pacific was back at the landmark Moe’s Home Collection building on Terminal Ave. The goal of the project was to transform the third floor of the building into an open concept space for the team and guests alike to enjoy. To date it had been used as showroom space in addition to office space. With the growth the brand was seeing worldwide, there was a need to transform their Vancouver HQ to better support the home team.
The design intention of the space was to be modern, welcoming, and bright. We built additional meeting rooms throughout the entire office. Floor to ceiling glazing created distinct spaces without closing anything in. We cut in new windows on the north side of the building allowing light to shine in and offering views of the city and mountains. We carved out space for a large kitchen in addition to a gym, fully enclosing it with tempered accordion glass that the Moe’s team had actually saved for a special project such as this. New IT rooms, storage, and washrooms also accompanied the new office build-out.
Walking into the Moe’s Home Collection store is always an inspiring trip into comfortable, beautiful furniture experiences. The upstairs office is a natural expansion on that. By incorporating the tasteful furniture and decor selections that can be found in the showroom downstairs, there are a number of different seating areas and cozy vignettes for every office mood.
