One of the most impactful parts about doing what we do is getting to be a part of another business’ story. Whether it’s their first location or sixth, a renovation during the evolution of their business, or bringing a particular vision to life, we love getting to partner with them on their business journey.

Lemongrass House was taking the very exciting step of opening their first North American store. Already wildly popular in 17 countries across Asia and Europe, they were ready to launch into the North American market and we couldn’t wait to help them open in the historic Gastown neighborhood.

A stunning space for a natural collection

Our friends at Cutler designed a warm and inviting space with intricate shelving to display the incredible variety of natural skincare products, including a stunning floor to ceiling feature wall along the back wall of the store. We had to build this wall in sections of three rows each, and then we transported the individual sections and assembled them on-site. The wall is also beautifully backlit with LED strip lights that run down every other gable to give the wall a warm, sunny glow. This small space had a very large millwork package, which kept our workshop crew incredibly busy as we worked to complete Lemongrass House. For this project we also tried a slightly technique where we assigned each member of our workshop team a dedicated piece. From start to finish each member of the crew got to “own” a piece of the store and see it come to life right before their eyes.

The cozy cherry wood combined with the brightly painted walls will transport you to a tropical destination all on their own. Combined with their beautifully smelling products for everyone in the family (yes, including your dog!), you’ll feel like you just came back from a restful Thai vacation without even leaving home.
