Nestled against the beautiful North Shore mountains is a newly opened retreat from city life. Serene, thoughtfully designed, and surrounded by greenery, the beautiful North Shore Cannabis retail store is setting out to change the way that people think about and shop for cannabis products.
The passionate team behind North Shore Cannabis had been dreaming up this concept for a number of years, and we were excited to partner with them to help bring the new store to life. Conveniently located right over the second narrows bridge from Vancouver, the store’s inspiration was drawn from its surroundings:
“The design is a bridge from a fast-paced city world into a peaceful harmony inspired by the North Shore, our Vancouver rain and spirit, and beautiful mountain peaks.”
The experience starts from the moment you enter the store. We used a variety of natural materials throughout this cannabis retail store construction to reflect its home against the mountains. The entrance welcomes visitors with a concrete backdrop flanked with lush greenery. From there the green painted walls act as a backdrop and set the stage for an informative and calming shopping experience. The custom steel framE wall shelving houses the beautiful accessories offered by the North Shore Cannabis team. Everything is thoughtfully curated and compliments the cannabis offering housed within the custom millwork countertop and cases.
One of our favourite stand-out features in the space is the wooden slat wall. It runs the entire height and width of the store between the product cases and the back bar. We intermixed the wooden slats with some lighting strips to provide ambiance and height. This effect also mimics the feel of the light coming through the trees. The wooden slats also run vertically down the length of the bar to add to the natural effect and feel of the space.
Adding to the shopping experience, the North Shore Cannabis team is well-informed, passionate, and incredibly friendly and helpful. They have stocked the highest quality products and provide a shopping experience that is truly elevating the consumer cannabis retail experience.
